Israel CBS template request

[edit]

As discussed in Commons:Village_pump/Copyright#Israel_CBS, the en:Israel Central Bureau of Statistics releases its content under a free license with Commons:Non-copyright restrictions. How can I create a template for this organization so that the files I uploaded are not deleted? Thanks for any help you can provide. A455bcd9 (talk) 18:49, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

PD-NAC template proposition

[edit]

Hi, I would like to propose creation of a new country-specific copyright tag for copies of archival materials availible under Poblic Domain license at the Szukaj w Archiwach web portal of National Digital Archives (NAC) of Poland. It would siplify the upload process for the editors and also maybe allow further compliance with NAC request for description of the copied material. The text on the tag could be something like this:

"This file remains in the Public Domain or its copyrights are owned by the National Archives and was published with permission for unlimited use through the Szukaj w Archiwach web portal administered by the National Digital Archives. For details see: Reuse policy."

It would also be great to inlude in the template the archives' name, fond and reference number of the file, along with the url and access date (per the reuse policy). The tag could include graphics: File:PD-icon.svg and National Archives' logo. Antoni12345 (talk) 12:50, 9 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

So, it's either {{PD}} for some unspecified reason or it's {{CopyrightedFreeUse}}. Should we have both options in one template? --Botev (talk) 18:51, 9 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
OK, yes it would be more apropriate to create separate ones. I'm just afraid that uploaders won't check the copyright accurately, as they are both indicated with the PD mark at the web portal. But I guess they should do so. And despite that these templates exist I think it's relevant to create the case-specifics ones for Szukaj w Archiwach to directly provide the source and in the second case the copyright holder in the tag. — Antoni12345 (talk) 23:03, 9 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not an expert in coding. Could someone review my propositions and make them functional templates with parameters? Also it would be great to automaticaly apply apropriate category to the files with the tag.

P.S. I can also prepare a documentation page in regards to the guidence on how to use the templates.— Antoni12345 (talk) 15:14, 24 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
